KSNH Digital Ventures LLC (doing business as CareerPlatform.io) ("we") is the data controller for personal data processed through this service.

Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email, login credentials.
  • Content you submit: resumes, job descriptions, profile text, photos.
  • Usage/telemetry: feature usage, device, IP address.
  • Support messages.

Purposes & legal basis

We process this data to provide the service (contract), prevent fraud and abuse (legitimate interest), comply with law, and — with consent — for product communications.

Sharing

  • Service providers: hosting (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), AI providers used to generate outputs.
  • Payment processor: Stripe, Inc., for processing payments, subscriptions, and invoicing.
  • Authorities where required by law.

AI processing

When you use AI-powered features (resume enhancement, cover letter generation, ATS scoring, mock interviews, headshots, etc.), the content you submit is sent to third-party AI providers (currently Google, OpenAI, and others routed via the Lovable AI Gateway) to generate a response. We do not allow these providers to train their models on your content. Inputs and outputs may be retained briefly by the provider for abuse monitoring per their standard terms, then deleted.

International data transfers

We are based in the United States. Personal data processed through this service may be transferred to and stored in the US and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required by EU/UK law, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards.

Cookies & similar technologies

We use only strictly necessary cookies and browser storage: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and local storage to remember preferences (e.g. dark mode, onboarding state). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.

Chrome Extension

The CareerPlatform Chrome Extension ("Extension") is available for Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers. This section describes how the Extension handles your data.

What the Extension accesses:

The Extension reads job posting content — specifically the job title, company name, and job description — from pages you visit on LinkedIn, Indeed, and Glassdoor. This data is used solely to power features within the Extension including ATS scoring, resume tailoring, cover letter generation, and salary intel. No other page content, browsing history, or personal data is accessed or collected from these sites.

Authentication:

When you sign in to CareerPlatform, your authentication token is stored locally in Chrome's extension storage on your device. This token is used only to authenticate API requests to careerplatform.io. It is never shared with third parties.

Data transmission:

Job posting content read by the Extension is sent to careerplatform.io solely to generate AI-powered outputs. No data is sent to any third party. All API calls are made exclusively to careerplatform.io.

Local storage:

The Extension stores your ATS score for the current job posting session in Chrome's local storage to prevent duplicate API calls and credit charges. This cached data is session-based and does not persist beyond the current browsing session.

Data sharing:

CareerPlatform does not sell, rent, or share Extension data with advertisers or any third parties.

Retention

  • Account, profile, and submitted content: while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account closure.
  • Billing records (invoices, tax): up to 7 years to meet legal/tax obligations.
  • Support messages: up to 24 months.
  • Server logs: up to 90 days.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR for the EEA/UK, CCPA for California) you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise most of these directly from your Settings page — including downloading a full JSON export of your data and deleting your account. For anything else, email us at contact@careerplatform.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

You can manage your email communication preferences at any time from your Email preferences page.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls.

Staff access to your content

A small number of authorised administrators at CareerPlatform.io may access content you have generated or uploaded — including resumes, cover letters, ATS reports, LinkedIn drafts, interview sessions, headshots and salary negotiation notes — strictly for the following purposes:

  • Responding to a support request you have raised about a specific tool output.
  • Investigating suspected abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms.
  • Diagnosing bugs or quality issues affecting your account.

Access is limited to users with the admin role, requires a written reason at the time of access, and every view is recorded in an internal audit log (admin identity, user viewed, resource, reason, timestamp). We rely on the legitimate-interest lawful basis under UK/EU GDPR for this processing. Staff will not browse your content for any other purpose. You can request a copy of any access-log entries relating to your account by emailing contact@careerplatform.io.
